This Christmas Eve, we gather to proclaim a hope the world still needs to hear: Good news is louder than fear.

We offer two Christmas Eve services, each with its own tone and rhythm - both rooted in love, welcome, and the good news of Christ's birth.

3:00 pm - Spontaneous Christmas Pageant
A joyful, kid-friendly service for families

This beloved Christmas Eve tradition brings the Nativity story to life - with your children in it!

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Children of all ages are invited to participate
  • Every child who wants a role gets one - no rehearsal required
  • Kids choose a costume and part when they arrive
  • The service concludes with "Silent Night"

Arrival Time for Kids:

Please arrive between 2:30 and 2:45 so children have time to select costumes and roles before the service begins.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A relaxed, joyful retelling of the Christmas story
  • Lots of laughter, movement, and holy chaos (the good kind!)
  • A welcoming space for first-time churchgoers and families with young children
  • A short, meaningful service designed with kids in mind.

This service is perfect for families who want to experience Christmas Eve together in a way that is playful, participatory, and full of heart.

5:00 pm - Candlelight & Communion Service
A reflective, hope-filled service for all ages

Our 5:00 pm service offers a more contemplative Christmas Eve experience, centered on music, scripture, candlelight, and Holy Communion.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Familiar Christmas carols and special music
  • Scripture readings from Isaiah and the Gospel of Luke
  • A brief reflection on the theme "Good News Is Louder Than Fear"
  • Communion open to all
  • A candlelight moment and the singing of "Silent Night"

This service is approximately one hour.

CHILDCARE AVAILABLE

  • Nursery through 5th grade childcare is available during the 5:00 pm service
  • Children are also welcome to remain in worship with their families if preferred

CANDLELIGHT FOR EVERYONE

During our candlelight moment, you're invited to participate in the way that feels safest and most comfortable.

We'll offer:

  • Traditional candles
  • Glow sticks
  • Or you're welcome to use your phone flashlight

All are welcome to participate - or simply take in the moment quietly.

WHAT TO WEAR:

There is no dress code. Come in Christmas sweaters, jeans, dresses, boots, or flannel - whatever helps you feel comfortable and present.

ACCESSIBILITY AND PRACTICAL INFO:

  • Accessible parking is available in the lower parking lot closest to the red doors.
  • Restrooms are located on the same floor as the sanctuary.
  • Changing tables are available on the lower level of the church - an usher can help you find them.
  • Our ushers and volunteers are ready and waiting to help!

ONE MORE THING...

Christmas doesn't ask us to ignore what's happening in the world around us.

It tells a deeper truth.

Love shows up. Hope breaks through.

And good news is louder than fear.

However you show up, whatever you are carrying this season - you are welcome here.
