Meet the team.
Rev. Sarah Clark
Rev. Sarah Clark is a shoe-loving, not-really-into-cooking, reality tv-watching, book-loving, curious, enthusiastic, hopefully-on-most-days-follow-Jesus-and-loving-her-neighbor kind of a gal. She's also an ordained elder in the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. Sarah grew up in Illinois and lived in Brazil for a year before attending Southern Illinois University, where she received a BS in Speech Communications. She worked as a community educator at The Women's Center, a domestic abuse and rape crisis services agency before a call to ministry took her to Indianapolis and Christian Theological Seminary. While in seminary, Sarah worked as a youth minister for two great years. She graduated in 2014 with a Master of Divinity and a vague realization that she was an actual adult now, and moved to Hamilton, Montana where she served with the people of the United Methodist-American Baptist Church. In 2014, Sarah was appointed to serve with the people of Grace.
Jessica Coons moved to the Evergreen area over 9 years ago with her husband, Stacy, of 18 years and her 6 year old daughter, Abigail. The Coons family moved to Colorado 12 years ago from the east coast. Jessica comes with over 20 years experience in office administration. You will usually find the Coons family kayaking in one of the many lakes and reservoirs throughout Colorado anytime it's not snowing.
Gayla has been a member of the church since 1998 right after moving here with her family from Indiana. She worked for 6 years in Great Escape Parents' Day Out until going full time with her cleaning business. She began custodial work at UMCE in the fall of 2007. She has enjoyed contributing to the church by helping with Vacation Bible School for a few years, pitching in when needed with youth group - including going on a mission trip, and she still enjoys an occasional turn playing harmonica during special music time on a Sunday morning.
