Even after the resurrection, the disciples remain huddled behind locked doors. Into this space of anxiety and
isolation, Jesus enters not with judgment, but with peace. Thomas represents all of us who need to see, touch, and experience the truth for ourselves before we can fully believe. Rather than rebuking Thomas for his questions, Jesus offers his wounds, meeting him exactly where he is. This is good news for the skeptics and the seekers: the resurrected Christ is not offended by our doubts. Instead, he uses those very questions to lead us toward a deeper, personal confession of faith so that we “will have life in his name.”
