Carlsbad Caverns National Park: Imagination

Jul 17, 2022    Rev. Sarah Clark

Carlsbad Caverns is a labyrinth of enormous underground rooms and passageways, stalactites and stalagmites, even a 140 foot deep “bottomless pit”. So far 120 caves have been discovered, formed about six million years ago, when a limestone reef began dissolving as slightly acidic water seeped down and reacted with hydrogen sulfide gas. Who knew dripping water could create something so beautiful and big and bizarre? The natural marvels of Carlsbad Caverns seem impossible – but here they are! God helps us to the impossible. We just have to imagine it first. What amazing things has God made happen in your life? What might you imagine with God for your life or for the world?
