Heritage of Holiness

Holy, by definition means “set apart.” It is something that is different from everything else. Wesley believed

that as we grow in God’s grace we are meant to live in a different way – in a way that was holy and set apart.

He also believed strongly that we could not do that on our own, that we needed a community to journey in

faith together. As the Methodist movement began, Wesley recognized the importance of gathering together

to study, pray, and serve.
